flexsteelWe believe people, not machines, make the best furniture.

We opened our first factory in 1893. Though technologies have changed, our dedication to craftsmanship is as strong as ever.

Discover the beauty inside.
We source the best materials we can find, so we’re proud to share everything that goes into our furniture.

Heart of Steel

You’ll find our namesake Blue Steel Spring at the core of our upholstered seating. We believe so strongly in this support system, we guarantee its durability for a lifetime of use. The design itself hasn’t radically changed in over 75 years. Unlike eight-way hand-tied springs, it never needs retying or replacing to keep you from getting that sinking feeling in your seat.

Your Inspiration, Our Creation

We believe your home is a true reflection of your personal style, so we build our furniture with care and precision as soon as you order it. No two designs are alike, so we always take a hands-on approach, working with respected, high-quality suppliers to offer a vast selection of styling options.

Process Perfected

By maintaining and monitoring an active inventory of materials, we hold ourselves accountable for every last detail. Choose fabric, wood finish, cushion style, and trim options with your local retailer, then our system tracks your order every step of the way. Our own delivery staff and truck fleet ensure your piece arrives quickly and safely.

Tried and Tested

Many Flexsteel products are tested to commercial standards using American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association (BIFMA) x 5.1 guidelines. We test designs for function, safety, and durability to ensure the furniture you receive can withstand the rigors of a contract environment.

Safety by Land or Sea

Whether your excursion is by land or sea, providing furniture safe for travel is our top priority. We source and test materials for high resiliency against wear and tear from the elements and constant motion. Our fabrics meet the most rigorous durability requirements, and our frames are powder-coated and marinized to resist abrasion and corrosion.
